The Quebec school system

Many reasons make the Quebec school system an advantageous structure for all involved:  

• The school network is secular and includes French and English establishments, both public and private. 
• The school system includes four levels of teaching: primary school (including preschool), secondary school, college (Cégep) and university. 
• Primary and secondary education is free within the public system. 
• School is compulsory for all children aged 6 to 16.
