Recruitment missions

Employers from Quebec City and the surrounding region occasionally travel to other regions or parts of the world to interview pre-selected candidates who have applied for positions (i.e. submitted a résumé).

Recruitment mission results

Since the first mission was held in March 2008, a total of 1 439 skilled workers have been recruited. Including other initiatives aimed at attracting international talent undertaken by Quebec International and its partners, Quebec City and the surrounding region have welcomed more than 3 600 newcomers, including spouses and children.

Virtual recruitment mission in Latin America : Brasil, Colombia and Mexico -August 2016

International recruitment in 2015 (excluding recruitment missions)

Companies from the Quebec City region receive year-round support for their international recruitment efforts. From the beginning of the year, Quebec International and its partners played a key role in the hiring of 134 specialized foreign workers (excluding those hired during recruitment missions).

Mission to Paris - November 2015 (cancelled)

  • Journee’s Québec’s event in Paris at the end of the year had to be canceled following the tragic events of 13 November. This mission could therefore not be realized as originally planned. However, most companies have assured monitoring, generally virtual, with their short-listed candidates and to continue their hiring process

International recruitment in 2013 (excluding recruitment missions)

Companies from the Quebec City region receive year-round support for their international recruitment efforts. Quebec International and its partners played a key role in the hiring of 43 specialized foreign workers (excluding those hired during recruitment missions). More than 100 newcomers settled in the region, including spouses and other family members.
